Key Requirements of the Locum Dental Nurse:
- GDC registered Dental Nurse
- Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Previous UK dental nursing experience preferred
- Good understanding of infection prevention, decontamination, and cross-infection protocols
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work confidently both independently and within a wider team
- Organised approach with strong attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining high clinical and patient care standards
This Locum Dental Nurse role responsibilities will include:
- Providing chairside assistance during a range of dental procedures
- Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and clinical equipment
- Supporting and reassuring patients throughout appointments
- Maintaining accurate and compliant patient records
- Following infection prevention and decontamination procedures
- Assisting with stock management and day-to-day practice organisation
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to deliver an excellent patient experience
