Dental Nurse – Uppingham

£13.50–£15.50 per Hour | 28 Hours per Week | 4 Days | Permanent

Flourish Medical is recruiting for a GDC Registered Dental Nurse to join a long-established, independent dental practice in Uppingham, Rutland.

This is a permanent position offering £13.50–£15.50 per hour, depending on experience, working 28 hours across 4 days per week. The working pattern offers an excellent work-life balance, with Wednesdays off and early finishes on Tuesdays and Fridays.

You'll be joining an established mixed NHS and private dental practice with over 30 years of history in Uppingham, a loyal patient base and an experienced clinical team. The practice provides a broad range of NHS, private, cosmetic and specialist dental treatments, giving the successful Dental Nurse the opportunity to work within a varied clinical environment.

An immediate start is available.

Please note: GDC registration, previous UK dental nursing experience and the right to work in the UK are essential. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Hours & Pay

  • £13.50–£15.50 per hour, depending on experience

  • 28 hours per week

  • Permanent position

  • Monday: 8:20am–5:20pm

  • Tuesday: 8:20am–2:20pm

  • Wednesday: Non-working day

  • Thursday: 8:20am–5:20pm

  • Friday: 8:20am–2:20pm or 7:20am–1:20pm

  • No weekend working

You will be joining an independent mixed NHS and private dental practice that has been established in Uppingham for over 30 years.

The practice combines a long-standing local reputation and established patient base with modern dental facilities and technology.

You'll work alongside an experienced clinical team providing a broad range of dentistry, including general NHS and private dentistry, cosmetic treatments, orthodontics, implants and dental hygiene, making this a varied opportunity for a Dental Nurse looking to continue developing their clinical experience.

What we're looking for

To be considered for this Dental Nurse position, you will need:

  • GDC registration as a Dental Nurse

  • Previous UK dental nursing experience

  • Right to work in the UK without sponsorship

  • Excellent patient care and communication skills

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of cross-infection control and decontamination procedures

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a clinical team

  • A professional, reliable and patient-focused approach

Your role

As a Dental Nurse, you will:

  • Provide chairside support during NHS and private dental treatments

  • Prepare surgeries, instruments and equipment

  • Follow cross-infection control and decontamination procedures

  • Support and reassure patients throughout their appointments

  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation

  • Assist with stock management and clinical supplies

  • Work closely with Dentists, Hygienists, Therapists and the wider practice team

  • Help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the clinical environment

Location

The practice is located in Uppingham, Rutland and is commutable from Oakham, Corby, Market Harborough, Stamford, Melton Mowbray and surrounding areas across Rutland, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
